Honda had a dream in 1985, about hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicles. Today the dream has come true wih the Honda FCX Clarity Fuel Cell Vehicle (shown above). GM is also reported to be releasing the five passanger Provoq (shown below).
These car are zero emissions vehicles that will help save our earth and our children. These fuel cells produce electricity that can be used as a clean alternative to gasoline. The V Flow fuel-cell stack in the FCX Clarity combines hydrogen (H2) stored in a tank with oxygen (O2) from the air to generate electricity. The electricity then powers the electric motor, which in turn ultimately propels the vehicle. Water is the only byproduct.
