GUN SHOTS in Miami's Memorial Weekend

Each and every year the South East Florida Authorities
brace themselves for Memorial Weekend because it is
usually full of events drawing thousands of people both
locally and internationally. The high energy and
excitement can sometimes create some sort of chaos.
This year, gun salutes at one event confused crowds,
which caused some chaos.

Most of this holiday's events were incident free. Many
attended high society's upscale party's, including
many stylish and classy ladies. The back to back parties
by White Noise featured Tony Matterhorn, Super Twitch,
Black Chiney, Stone Love and Swatch were also well
attended. Bubbles and Blink lived up to their expectation,
as did the Hip-hop concert featuring Young Jeezy,
DJ Khaled, Fat Joe and Terror Squad. T-Pain, Akon,
Busta Rhymes, Trina, Shaggy and Collie Budz were just
a few of the artists who did the do in the M I A over the
weekend.

Gun salutes as the Warlord Bounty Killa electrified the
crowd with "A gwen Murder Dem B****d Cloth," ending
the event.

The Ark Angel has returned to Jamaica.

The Ark Angel AKA Richie Spice has returned to
jamaica after performing twice in Kenya and
completing a 11 venue tour in Europe. All to
promote his new album Streets to Africa.

The Europe part of the tour brought Richie to 6
different countries and performing in 11 cities to
a total of over 6000 fans at sold out venues. The
tour took him to the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden,
Germany, France and Italy where he performed in
popular cities such as Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris
and Rotterdam.

The most memorable part of the tour was in Brussels in
the VK club. After his common 90 minute set, the crowd
demanded Richie to perform more, repeatedly screaming
"We Want Richie!!" The VK Club, which usually closes at
11pm, had to extend their opening hours to allow Richie
to perform for another 30 minutes.

While Paris, Richie performed along with Beenie Man to a
crowd of over 1200. The crowd seemed disappointed to see
Richie leave the stage and demanded more, however Richie
made way for the King of the Dancehall.

Jamaican Making Aviation History

Barrington Irving, a 23-year old senior majoring in
aerospace at Florida Memorial University, will trade
his cap and gown for a brown flight suit, climb into
a single-engine plane he calls "Inspiration," and
embark on a round the world flight that will make
him the first person of African descent and the
youngest person ever to fly solo around the globe.

This will take place this Spring. Born in Kingston, Jamaica
and raised in inner-city Miami, Barrington hopes his
5-week historic flight will inspire other young people to
resist the negative influences of the streets and work toward
their dreams. As a teenager, Barrington and his friends shared
a sense of hopelessness about their futures, as there was little
incentive or opportunity for minority youth in the inner city to
pursue professional careers. He earned good grades in high
school but saw a football scholarship as his only route to college.
Then one afternoon, working in his parents' Christian bookstore,
Barrington began talking with a customer, a Jamaican airline pilot,
Captain Gary Robinson, who invited him to the airport the next
day to see the cockpit of the Boeing 777 jet he flew for United
Airlines. That day changed the young man’s life forever.

The Burial - Humor

Ramsingh and Dolly were married for many years even
though they hated each other. When they had a
confrontation, screaming and yelling could be heard
late into the night.

The old man would shout, "When I dead, so help meh, I
go dig meh way up and outa de grave and come back
and haunt you for de ress a yuh life!"

Neighbors feared him. They believed he practiced some
kinda obeah because of the many strange occurrences
that took place in their neighborhood.

Ramsingh liked the fact that he was feared. To everyone's
relief, he died of a heart attack. Dolly had a closed casket
at the wake.

After the burial she went straight to the beer garden and
began to party as if there was no tomorrow. Her neighbors,
concerned for her safety asked, "Dolly, gyal you aint fraid
Ramsingh gon dig e way up and outa de grave and come
back to haunt you for the rest a yuh life?"

Dolly put down the Carib and said, "Yuh tink I chupid or
what? Leh him dig nuh....ah bury he rass upside down!

Busta Busted Again

The rapper Busta Rhymes was arrested early
this morning and charged with driving while
intoxicated after officers stopped his car in
Manhattan and smelled alcohol on his breath,
the police said.

The rapper, whose real name is Trevor Smith, was
pulled over about 12:48 a.m. near the corner of
West 51st Street and 11th Avenue because the tint
on the windows of his 2006 Yukon Denali was too
dark, the police said. When officers approached his
car and asked for his paperwork, Mr. Smith reached
over and dropped his wallet, at which point "he was
found to have a strong odor of alcohol on his breath,"
according to the police report.

After failing a Breathalyzer test at the scene, he was
taken to a police station, where he failed additional
sobriety tests, the police said. He is currently being
held until his arraignment, which is expected to take
place later this afternoon. His lawyer, Scott Leemon,
did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.
